We make small pieces in sterling silver and gold, by hand, in small batches, to be worn every day and kept for years.
Karat began at one workbench twelve years ago. We still shape, set and polish every piece ourselves, and we still check each one before it is boxed.

How we work

Every piece starts as a drawing and a wax model, then is cast, filed, set and polished by the same few hands.
Why it lasts
Stones set by hand
Each stone is set and checked under a loupe before the piece is polished.

Bands and huggies sized to sit together, so a collection grows piece by piece.
